Culinary Music Tour along Rhine, Main & Neckar

 

Frankfurt arrival - Würzburg (2) - Heidelberg (2) - Koblenz (2) - departure Zurich/Munich 

 

6 night/7 days  

 

I t i n e r a r y

 

Day 1:
Arrival in Frankfurt. Your tour director and bus driver will wellcome you on Franfurt Airport. Departure for Würzburg. Upon arrival check into your booked accommodation. After refreshing, join a 3 hours sightseeing tour of Würzburg with licensed guide in your requested language (tbc.). Dinner: specialities of the Franconian kitchen - of course accompanied by a glas of wine. Night in Würzburg.

 

Day 2:
Morning excursion into the Franconian wineland - located between Spessart, Rhon and Steigerwald, and crossed by the river Main. Maybe you are lucky and on this day there is one of the many wine feasts or parades you could join. You will visit a wine cellar and enjoy a wine tasting there. Retourn to Würzburg in the afternoon. This afternoon/evening we have arranged for a concert at an appropriate venue in Würzburg or surrounding. Dinner: specialities of the local kitchen. Night in Würzburg.

 

Day 3:
After breakfast, departure for Rothenburg. Stop for sightseeing and time at leisure for a walk in this medieval town, before continuing to Heidelberg. Check-into your booked accommodation. Dinner at accommodation or local restaurant - local specialities. Night in Heidelberg.

 

Day 4: 
This morning, enjoy a 3 hours walking tour of Heidelberg with licensed guide in your requested language (tbc.) - incl. entrance fee to the grounds of Heidelberg Castle. Afternoon excursion by bus along the romantic Nackar river and visit of the "four castle town" Neckarsulm.  Time at leisure and possibility for a walk.  This afternoon/evening we have arranged for a concert at an appropriate venue in Heidelberg or surrounding. Dinner at accommodation or local restaurant - local specialities. Night in Heidelberg.

 

Day 5:
After breakfast, departure from Heidelberg. Drive to Bingen, idyllically located on river Rhine. You will board a cruise ship and enjoy a cruise of approx. 2 hours through the most romantic part of the Rhine, starting in Bingen up to St. Goarshausen, passing the famous Loreley. Continue by bus to Koblenz. Check into your accommodation. Afternoon at leisure for own activities. Dinner at accommodation or local restaurant - local specialities. Night in Koblenz.

 

Day 6:
This morning, join the walking tour of Koblenz with licensed guide in your requested language (tbc.). Board your bus this afternoon for a tour along the charming middle Rhine - announced a World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO - with its windings and numberous castles and ruins towering high above the river. You will visit castle Ehrenbreitstein at Koblenz (adm. incl.) and after taking the opportunity of a lot of snap shoots, you will enjoy a wine tasting in this area. Farewell dinner - local specialities  - of course accompanied by a glas of wine! Night in Koblenz.

 

Day 7:  
Departure transfer to Zurich/Munich Airport.
